Shop 'Til You Drop

After a long first half of the semester I needed some real retail therapy! No more of that online shopping that I have become obsessed with. I headed to the mall, with a limited budget for myself. I had my eye on a few things at Lilly Pulitzer, so I went straight there. Here are some pictures of my newest additions to my closet and accessories! I have been drooling over this new wallet wristlet. It is perfect for me. It fits nicely in my backpack for class, but is perfect to throw in my purse to go to dinner. And it gets better, it hold everything for a night out! A lip stick/gloss holder inside, change pocket, multiple card slots, and a pocket for your phone on the outside. I have been stocking up for summer and purchased some croakies (sunglass strap) and Lilly's market bag, which I plan on getting full of sand come May! Employment

Why is it so difficult for us nursing students to find a summer Co-Op job (required for my program)? It is very difficult to find ones I qualify for, yet alone in the Detroit area in this icky economy. So I worked super hard since January, and I have applied everywhere imaginable! So far 38 jobs have received my resume and cover letter. I just have to sit and wait to hear a call back, hopefully. I am sure waiting for these things to fall into place. #NursingSchoolProblems

Growing Up

My younger sister has grown up wayyyyy to fast. Already a senior in high school? And she only has a few months left. Where has the time gone? It feels like it was yesterday that I was celebrating my last home hockey game and senior night. At her game tonight I screamed so much, cheered on the girls, and yelled at the referees quite a bit.

 Needless to say, I miss playing hockey so much. I never would have thought that when I was playing. Panting at practice and yelling at the refs went they sent me to the box. It was the best time of my high school career. Maybe joining a women's league this summer can get me back on the ice. If Michigan would get cold enough this winter I could just play some pond hockey!

A Much Needed Break

I am finally taking a few hours to relax and calm down after the start of a crazy semester. I do nothing but study, work, breathe once a day, and study. A little Gossip Girl, wine, and chats with your best friend can always make you feel better. At least the week is halfway over! Happy Almost Thursday!

Valentine's Day

I have come to the conclusion that Valentine's Day is not just about couples. It is about spending time with all of the people in your life that you love. My Daddy is always my favorite Valentine. Everyone should embrace this holiday, it is just another day to celebrate life! So get out there tomorrow and tell the ones who mean the most to you just how important they are.

Everything Vera Bradley

Recently, I went on an online shopping spree (these nursing classes are stressing me out!). I purchased a new laptop case and wallet from Vera Bradley. My collection is quite extensive now, and my friends tell me I have a problem. Here is a picture of both items that I purchased in English Meadows. I could not resist because both were almost 60% off and only about $15 each! I am in love with both items and could not be happier with my purchase. I've struggled to find a wallet to fit all of my needs, but this one has it! An ID slot, multiple card slots, coin pocket, a spot for cash, and even a pocket on the outside for your phone. The perfect all in one wallet.
